Who We Are
Metro Columbia Praise Orchestra is a faith-based, non-denominational community orchestra. Founded in 2021, this orchestra is modeled after the basic church orchestra. Our repertoire includes hymn arrangements as well as modern worship songs with a wide range of difficulty and style. Membership in MCPO is voluntary, contingent on a commitment to rehearsals and performances each season. It is open to anyone 11th grade through adult.

The Metro Columbia Praise Orchestra exalts the name of Jesus throughout the midlands. Psalm 66:2 calls us to “Sing the glory of His name” and to “make His praise glorious.” We seek to unify instrumentalists with one musical voice to glorify God’s name. “Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord.”
